Original Acrylic Painting on Panel

Entitled “December 29 2022,” this is an original acrylic painting on a 24” X 24” panel. It is very straightforward design, incorporating just four colors over a yellow ground – tomato red, forest green, dark magenta, and a light cobalt blue. The colors are applied in 1/8” wide lines that intersect and interact with each other to create additional colors in the viewer’s eyes. My primary influences are the Op Artists of the 1960s and 1970s, including Julian Stanczak, Richard Anuszkiewicz, and Carlos Cruz Diez. This piece is finished on all sides so no frame is required.
